If your digital files are delivered according to the guidelines below, we can process them correctly. If you are unable to deliver your digital files according to our guidelines, we can make the necessary adjustments at an hourly rate. If adjustments have to be made by us, your order manager will discuss this with you in advance.
We prefer to work with PDF files (print quality – PSO Coated v3) or with open files created using Adobe CC.
You can deliver your digital files to us via:
• WeTransfer or a similar file-sharing service
• E-mail to email@example.com (max 10 MB)
For a folder/brochure, please format left and right pages as left and right pages using the page numbering as it will apply in the printed copy. In the document layout, the first page must always be a right page (odd page number), the second page then becomes a left page (odd page number). The delivery must always be in a multiple of 4 pages. Please do not deliver pages in imposition layout.
LAYOUT AND IMAGES
The image resolution on delivery is preferably 300 dpi (a lower resolution will reduce the quality). If you are using ICC profiles, please check their correctness. Define special colours, such as PMS colours, covering white and varnish shapes, as spot colours. Set the lines for the die cut to “overprint”.
Provide all bleed elements with at least 3 mm bleed.
Preferably convert used fonts to letter contours, otherwise, please supply them in a “zipped” file if you have the necessary permissions.
When submitting so-called open documents, please use (if available) the function to collect all the used elements (images, illustrations, fonts, etc.) of the formatted document. This creates one folder containing all the necessary files for processing. Please also include a printout of the document.
